Group standing by giant traffic cone and car with "The Traffic Fox" branding.

Welcome to our growing Traffic Community! Originally, just one person created a community Facebook Group to share essential traffic information during the manic Christmas/Summer holiday period in 2018, and our group quickly gained vast popularity and became an invaluable resource to literally tens of thousands of people during the following years. We have since extended our team of helpers, and our reach to encompass additional regions to meet the growing demand and to serve a wider audience. We absolutely love what we do! We pride ourselves on the information we receive and share, most of the time putting it out there faster than the official agencies.

Our very small but very dedicated team of admins and managers work tirelessly to provide you with round-the-clock traffic updates, ensuring you stay informed at all times. We maintain a strong network of contacts in various industries and services, as well as with motorists actively engaged on the roads, all who constantly supply us with real-time information.

Join us to experience the power of community collaboration, where locals like you come together to navigate traffic conditions easily. You can also send us your own traffic tips and reports by hitting the Contact tab on this website.

Together, we make travelling a smoother, more enjoyable experience! We like to think this also makes drivers much safer on the roads!

We exist to assist!

We were very humbled to be finalists in both the Kapiti Regional Community Awards, and the Wellington City Community Awards back in August 2023. Although we didn’t come away with a win, we felt very honored to be nominated and a part of the event!
